A New Beginning is the metro area’s most complete divorce recovery program held once per week for two hours. There are 12 sessions. Seminars are always held in the Spring and Fall, and frequently in the Summer and Winter depending upon demand.
The seminar brings people who are suffering through divorce into a Christian community where they can experience acceptance, caregiving, and the love that God and others can provide. This seminar provides insight into issues surrounding divorce, provides concepts for dealing with issues and recovery, and connects you with others who are going through the same experience.
Several professional speakers and caring leaders help you address your divorce issues in a constructive manner.
You will learn from and bond with others going through divorce and build friendships that will help you emotionally survive your divorce. Participants come from a variety of churches and backgrounds. You do not have to be affiliated with a church to participate. The seminar is non-denominational. People from a variety of Protestant backgrounds as well as Catholics, Mormons, and participants from non-Christian faiths such as Judaism have found the seminars to be comfortable and non-threatening.
The text is The Complete Divorce Recovery Handbook by John Splinter. It is designed for a seminar format.
The book, a notebook for notes, and numerous pertinent handouts are provided. The fee is $100.00 and scholarships are available as needed.
